Employers can continue their relationship with an Ohio Employee Health Partnership member institution. In many cases, employers already have an effective relationship with an occupational health provider. Ohio Employee Health Partnership enables the employer to keep and strengthen that relationship without wasting time and money by going through an insurance company intermediary for every question and decision.

Decisions are made locally. Regional case management centers are, in most cases, located at the hospital or clinic the employer is using. This allows rapid decision-making and approvals. There is no need to communicate with an insurance company case manager in another city who doesn't know the case.

Strong emphasis is placed on return to work. Ohio Employee Health Partnership has a strong emphasis on prompt and appropriate return to work as a primary means of cost savings.
